#1 US Hwy 70 Intersection

From Lake Catherine the signs to US Hwy 70 lead to an intersection west of Hot Springs. This is rolling, wooded country.  It took me awhile to strike camp, so this first sighting of the US route 70 shield was late morning on Friday.
Since I was already west of Hot Springs at this point I turned back east on 70 to check out the town itself.

Ready to Launch--Lake Catherine, Arkansas, 7 July 2016

I arrived at Lake Catherine State Park at mid-day on Thursday, a day later than anticipated. I got my tent set up and enjoyed the heat, the view and a swim in the lake.  The Park is just a few miles from Hot Springs, where I would intersect with US Highway 70 on Friday.

Arrived today at Lake Catherine State Park in Arkansas. Tomorrow I will pick up Highway 70 in Hot Springs. This post is a test of blogging on my phone while sitting at a campsite overlooking the water.
