When it was built in the 1920's US Highway 70 was one of the first major east-west routes, which earned it the nickname The Broadway of America. From Hot Springs, AR to Globe AZ US 70 was also known as The Lee Highway.
This blog is an hour by hour photo journal of this historic highway 90 years after it opened. from Hot Springs to Clovis, NM, where I will turn north and US 70 turns south.

Starting out again
Arrived today at Lake Catherine State Park in Arkansas. Tomorrow I will pick up Highway 70 in Hot Springs. This post is a test of blogging on my phone while sitting at a campsite overlooking the water.
